Minnesota Twins vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 7-26-2022

The Minnesota Twins (52-44, 44-52 RL, 45-43-8 O/U) battle the Milwaukee Brewers (53-43, 40-56 RL, 48-42-6 O/U) in the second of a three-game interleague series on Tuesday night. The Twins will have Dylan Bundy on the bump. The Brewers will reply with rookie Ethan Small. The season series is even at 1-1.

Dylan Bundy will get the nod for the 17th time of the season. Bundy was decent in his previous start, conceding three runs in 5.1 innings against the White Sox, and was credited with the win to improve his record to 6-4. The veteran right-hander is having an inconsistent season but is keeping his team in games and doesn't give up many home runs. Bundy enters with a 4.71 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP in 80.1 innings pitched. This marks his first career meeting against the Brewers.

Minnesota rebounded from an uninspiring string of games by issuing a two-game sweep in Detroit on the weekend and has built a three-game lead atop the AL Central. They stand at 5-5 in their last ten games overall and have won three straight road games.

Jorge Polanco has definitely been the Twins' best hitter recently, delivering six home runs with a 1.09 OPS on the month. The 29-yea r-old second baseman now has 49 RBIs complemented by a .791 OPS on the year. Polanco has has two hits and one RBI against the Brewers this season. Max Kepler is questionable for this one.

The Twins are scoring an average of 4.56 runs per game, ranking them 13th overall. The pitching staff brings a 3.89 team ERA into this one, positioning them 15th in the big leagues.
