Minnesota suffered a loss in the rubber game of their three-game set to Toronto Sunday afternoon and limped into Monday losers of seven of their previous 10 contests. The Twins entered Monday’s action 27-26 on the year and held a one-game lead over Detroit for the top spot in the AL Central. On Sunday in the finale against the Blue Jays, Minnesota finished the game with five hits with Matt Wallner the lone player with two in the contest. The Twins went just one for four with runners in scoring position and left eight runners on base in the contest. Bailey Ober (3-2) took the loss on the mound as he allowed two runs on five hits with one walk and seven strikeouts before departing.

Joe Ryan is on the mound for the Twins as he makes his 11th start of the season in this contest.
