The New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at Yankee Stadium. On Monday it was the Yankees that were able to secure the 5-2 victory.
The Yankees sit with an 81-54 record overall and after a slump they have won two games in a row. On Monday it was strong pitching that was the difference as they were able to secure the victory. The Yankees offense overall is averaging 4.89 runs per game and they are going to need to run up the score here. Aaron Judge hit another home run on Monday and now sits with 54 home runs and 117 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Twins who sit with a 68-65 record overall and they are right back in the middle of the American League Central. The Twins have lost four of their last five games, and on Monday the offense just wasn’t good enough as they were defeated. The Twins are averaging 4.39 runs per game which is 15th in the league. Gary Sanchez was the only offense on Monday hitting a two run home run.
