A pair of Western Conference teams at opposite ends of the standings take the floor in Bluff City looking to put a game in the win column. The Minnesota Timberwolves are on the road as they travel to take on the Memphis Grizzlies Friday night. Minnesota comes in off a 102-94 home win over San Antonio in their previous contest Wednesday night, though they failed to cover the line as an 11.5-point favorite. Memphis downed Detroit 116-102 on the road in their previous contest Wednesday night, covering the line as a 1.5-point favorite. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Timberwolves own a 54-52 advantage, including a 119-97 road win in the first meeting this season on November 26.

They owned the top spot in the Western Conference standings. Against San Antonio, Minnesota led by three after the opening quarter and trailed by seven at the half. The Timberwolves rallied to tie the game after three quarters and held a one-point lead with nine minutes to play before going on a 13-2 run that gave them a 91-79 edge with 4:58 remaining en route to the win. Minnesota shot 41.4% from the field, including 12 of 40 from three-point range, and won the rebounding battle 55-49. Mike Conley paced the Timberwolves with 18 points in the win.

For the year, Minnesota is 19th in the league in scoring offense with 112.3 points per ga me.
