The Minnesota Timberwolves will face the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday at Barclays Center. Tip-off from Brooklyn is at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game is a pick'em and the total is 229 points.

Minnesota (39-40 SU and 37-42 ATS) lost 107-105 to Portland as a large spread favorite on Sunday. The T-Wolves have lost three consecutive following a four-game winning streak. They're currently ninth in the Western Conference, which would pit them against Oklahoma City in the Play-In Tournament if the season ended today.  Karl-Anthony Towns (20.3 PPG, 7.9 RPG, and 4.8 APG) is questionable to play (calf), Austin Rivers (4.9 PPG) is questionable (illness), and Jaylen Nowell (10.8 PPG) is questionable (knee). Naz Reid (11.5 PPG and 4.9 RPG) is out for the rest of the season (wrist).

Brooklyn (43-35 SU an d 39-37-2 ATS) beat Utah 111-110 on Sunday. The Nets, who are on a three-game winning streak, are sixth in the Eastern Conference standings. As of now, they would face Philadelphia in the first round of the playoffs. Ben Simmons (6.9 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 6.1 APG) is sidelined for the rest of the season (back).

Brooklyn beat Minnesota 124-123 in overtime in their lone previous meeting this season on March 10. Mikal Bridges scored 34 points in that game, while Spencer Dinwiddie contributed 29 points and 11 assists. Brooklyn was 16-for-34 (47.1%) from three-point distance, while Minnesota was 9-for-30 (30.0%). The T-Wolves did their damage inside, outscoring the Nets 66-38 in the paint.

Playoff-hopeful Minnesota suffered a humbling defeat to Portland on Sunday, putting the Timberwolves in dire circumstances with only three regular-season games remaining. Does Minny have enough in the tank to make it to the finish line of the race to the postseason?

The Trail Blazers defeated the T-Wolves as 19.5-point underdogs, the largest NBA upset in 30 years. The historic home loss came at the hands of Shaedon Sharpe, who poured in 27 points, and Kevin Knox, who scored 19. Portland was without four starters and had lost 11 of its last 12 games. Minny outshot and outrebounded Portland but was outscored 62-52 in the paint and turned the ball over 18 times.

Shooting guard Anthony Edwards leads Minnesota in scoring this season. He averages 24.5 points on 46.0 percent shooting, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. A few other Wolves to watch are center Rudy Gobert (13.7 PPG and 11.7 RPG), point guard Mike Conley (13.4 PPG and 5.1 APG), and power forward Jaden McDaniels (12.1 PPG).

Minnesota scores 115.5 points per game (13th) and shoots 49.0 percent (4th), including 36.2 percent from three (16th). It hits 75.6 percent of its free throws (24th) and averages 41.8 rebounds (23rd) with a -2.9 rebounding margin. The Timberwolves are 24th in adjusted offensive rating, 8th in effective field goal percentage (55.9%), and 9th in pace of play, per Dunks and Threes.

Minnesota surrenders 115.9 points per game defensively (18th), and its opponents shoot 47.1 percent (11th), incl uding 37.0 percent from long range (23rd). It's 10th in adjusted defensive rating and 24th in assist-per-turnover ratio.
