The Minnesota Timberwolves pay a visit to the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are starting to heat up now as they are currently riding a four-game win streak after taking down the Rockets in a 104-96 road win on Sunday. D’Angelo Russell led the team with 22 points and six assists, Anthony Edwards added 21 points while Rudy Gobert tallied 18 points with 11 rebounds. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 47 percent from the field and 10 of 28 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and fell into an early 20-point deficit, but they stayed in the fight and made their run in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Rockets by 27-15 to complete the comeback and keep their win streak alive.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in rough shape as they’ve lost 11 of their last 14 games overall and they will be hoping for a better performance after getting smashed by the 76ers in a 147-116 road loss last night. Rodney McGruder, Saddiq Bey and Jaden Ivey each scored 17 points, Alec Burks scored 16 points while Hamidou Diallo chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Pistons shot just 40 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and trailed by 22 points going into halftime, before they leaked 42 points in the third quarter to fall behind by as many as 41 points at one stage.
