Bowl season'is underway after an exciting 2022 college football campaign. One successful program taking part in the postseason once again is the Minnesota Golden Gophers, who will'face the Syracuse Orange at the Pinstripe Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Minnesota Bowl Game History
Minnesota has frequented the college football postseason throughout the 2000s. The Golden Gophers have played in 22 bowls prior to facing Syracuse, including 16 since the 2000 NCAAF season.
The Golden Gophers made their first bowl appearance in 1961 as part of the Big Ten Conference. They lost to Washington, 17-7, at the Rose Bowl that year.
Minnesota has won each of its f ive bowl appearances since 2015, most recently picking up an 18-6 victory against West Virginia at the 2021 Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
