Minnesota at Ohio State – 1/12/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Minnesota Golden Gophers and Ohio State Buckeyes face off on Thursday in a college basketball showdown at the Value City Arena. Last February it was Ohio State that secured the 70-45 victory. 

Minnesota comes into this game with a 6-8 record and they have gone 5-8-1 against the spread. The Gophers have been more competitive as of late and over the last two games they have lost by a combined total of five points. On the other side of this matchup is Ohio State who sits with a 10-5 record and they have gone 7-8 against the spread. In the last game against Maryland, the defense gave up 80 points and they lost by seven points. Brice Sensabaugh scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Ohio State is averaging 79.7 points while their defense is giving up 65.9 points per game. The offense is ranked 36th and they need to try to push the pace again here. Brice Sensabaugh is averaging 16.7 points while shooting 52 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from behind the three point line.
