The Milwaukee Bucks remain atop the Eastern Conference standings despite having a multitude of injuries throughout the season. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, Grayson Allen and Wes Matthews have all missed time this season with injury. In addition, Khris Middleton, Pat Connaughton and Joe Ingles have yet to suit up this season. Yet, here are the Bucks at 11-3 and looking like the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks started the season 9-0 as Antetokounmpo looked to be in MVP form as they mowed down the competition. With more injuries recently, including Antetokounmpo and Holiday, the Bucks have lost three of their last five games. On Wednesday night, veteran center Brook Lopez took advantage of the Cleveland Cavaliers attention to Antetokounmpo and went 7-of-9 from 3pt range on his way to 29 points to help lead the Bucks to a 113-98 win over the Cavs.
“Obviously Giannis is so good, he's go ing to draw so much attention,” Lopez said. “The rest of us just have to be ready when we're open. We're going to be open a lot because they load up so much, every team loads up so much. You've just got to be ready to be open, catch it and shoot it.”

The Bucks have gotten the job done this season despite not having all-star Middleton all season. They rank 2nd in opponents' points per game and second in opponents' field goal percentage. All the while, Antetokounmpo looks like an MVP candidate again. He is averaging nearly 30 points per game and nearly 12 rebounds per contest. The former MVP is shooting 51% from the field overall and averages a steal and more than a block per game.
Key Injuries: Middleton and Holiday remain out and Matthews, Allen and Connaughton are listed as day-to-day.
