Milwaukee Bucks vs. Orlando Magic Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-7-2023

Milwaukee will try to begin a new winning streak when it travels to Orlando on Tuesday night. The Bucks had their 16-game winning streak snapped in a loss to Philadelphia on Saturday, but they bounced back with a 117-111 win at Washington on Sunday. Orlando has lost two of its last three games, falling to Portland in a 122-119 final on Sunday.

Milwaukee raced out to a 22-8 start to the season before losing nine of its next 16 games. The Bucks became the hottest team in the NBA after that, rattling off 16 consecutive wins to mark the longest winning streak of the season. They took down some of the league’s best teams during that stretch, including Denver, Boston and Phoenix. Milwaukee’s final win of that streak came against Orlando last Wednesday, as Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 34 points and nine rebounds. The Bucks had their winning streak snapped in a 133-130 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday, blowing an 18-point third-quarter lead.

They bounced back on Sunday, notching a 117-111 win at Washington. Antetokounmpo posted a triple-double with 23 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds, intentionally missing a shot with one second remaining to clinch his fourth triple-double of the season. Jevon Carter had a big game as well, scoring 20 points on 6 of 10 shooting from beyond the arc. The Bucks drilled 22 of 49 attempts from 3-point range, which were the most 3-pointers allowed by Washington this season. They also took a 1.5-game lead over Boston for first place in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee ranks No. 11 in the NBA in scoring, averaging 115.6 points per game. It is facing an Orlando defense that is No. 17, allowing 113.7 points per contest.
