Milwaukee Bucks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-4-2022

Milwaukee Bucks (7-0) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (4-4)

The unbeaten Milwaukee Bucks head to Target Center in Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves, as the 2022-23 NBA season continues Friday, November 4. The Bucks open as 3-point road favorites, while the totals sit at 227.0 points.

Last season, the Timberwolves swept the Bucks, outlasting Milwaukee 113-108 as 6-point road underdogs and 138-119 as 3-point home favorites.

The Milwaukee Bucks (7-0; 6-1 ATS) are rolling on a seven-game winning streak following Wednesday’s 116-91 thrashing of the Detroit Pistons. Two days after narrowly beating Detroit 110-108 as 13.5-point favorites, the Bucks covered an 11.5-point spread, winning all four quarters against the lowly Pistons. Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a 32-point, 12-rebound double-double to go with four assists, five steals, and a couple of blocks, while Jrue Holiday had 26 points and a plus-25 net rating in 30 minutes on the floor.

“I’m happy that the team is winning, but that’s like second,” Antetokounmpo said after Wednesday’s win. “I’m happy that the team is building good habits. I’m happy that we can be good even if we d on’t make shots, that it doesn’t affect us. We still play hard; we still move the ball. Guys are not talking by themselves; we talk to one another. We are in a very good place.”

The Bucks are making just 45.4% of their field goals (tied-23rd in the NBA) and 32.5% of their 3-pointers (26th). They still rank 13th in offensive efficiency, tallying 113.2 points per 100 possessions. The Bucks are making all the difference on the defensive side of the ball, allowing 101.9 points per 100 possessions (1st) on 42.3% shooting from the field (also 1st) and 34.0% from beyond the 3-point line (tied-12th).

Mil waukee is missing five players due to injuries including Khris Middleton. The three-time All-Star is considered week-to-week, so the Bucks will continue to lean on Antetokounmpo, who’s averaging 33.6 points and 12.7 rebounds per game in 2022-23.
