Milwaukee Bucks vs. Memphis Grizzlies Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 12-15-2022

Milwaukee will be looking to build off its win over Golden State when it travels to Memphis on Thursday night. The Bucks have won eight of their last 10 games, including a 128-111 win over the Warriors on Tuesday. Memphis is riding a six-game winning streak following a 128-103 blowout win over Atlanta on Monday.

Milwaukee got off to the best start of any team in the NBA this season, winning nine consecutive games to open its campaign. The Bucks went through their lone rough patch immediately after that, losing five of their next eight games. They have responded by winning eight of their 10 games since then, picking up wins over Cleveland, Dallas (twice), New York, Sacramento and most recently Golden State. Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has led the team in scoring in 11 of the last 13 games, had 30 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in the win over the Warriors on Tuesday.

Antetokounmpo leads a Milwaukee offense that ranks No. 16 in the NBA, averaging 112.6 points per game. He is averaging 31.1 points, 11.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game, so his numbers against Golden State were in line with his season averages. Veteran guard Jrue Holiday has been the other consistent scoring option, pouring in 19.1 points, 7.4 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. He missed Tuesday’s game with an illness and is questionable to play on Thursday. Small forward Khris Middleton has not quite been able to find his old form after returning from a length injury absence, averaging 12.5 points per game. He is facing a Memphis defense that is No. 12, allowing 111.7 points per contest.
