The Brewers will be sending Corbin Burnes to the mound. The White Sox will reply with Michael Kopech. This is the first meeting since the 2021 season.
The Brewers will have Corbin Burnes on the rubber. Burnes was decent in his previous start, allowing two runs and walked four batters in four innings against the Pirates, resulting in another no-decision in a game the Brewers won. The Brewers ace is having another stellar year. He posted a 1.85 ERA in July and is sporting a 3.42 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP complemented by a 9-6 record in 139.1 innings pitched. Burnes has collected 141 K’s. He has conceded three runs in 9.2 career innings against the White Sox.
Every game is huge for Milwaukee at this point as they battle with the Reds atop the division. They are at the beginning of a 10-game road trek. The Brewers have been hit or miss recently. They won two of four home meetings against the Pirates followed by a series win against the Rockies to conclude a homestand on Wednesday. They scored 22 runs against the Rockies and are 5-5 in their last 10 bouts.

William Contreras continues to produce, amassing seven RBIs and an .830 OPS this month. The 25-year-old catcher has been hitting in the top three in the batting order after a strong July and has 12 homers with 51 RBIs and a .798 OPS on the season. Rowdy Tellez remains on the IL.
Milwaukee is averaging 4.28 runs per game, ranking them 23rd. The pitching is a strength, reporting a 4.04 team ERA, placing them 13th.
