The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (2-6, 1-3) will host the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders (4-4, 1-3) in a Conference USA match-up. This will be the first head-to-head meeting between these programs since 2016.
On September 24, MTSU went on the road a beat the Miami Hurricanes 45-31 to improve to 3-1 on the season. The Blue Raiders did not handle the success well and dropped their first three conference games by double-digits against UTSA, UAB, and Western Kentucky. After a bye week, MTSU earned its first conference win 24-13 at UTEP. The Blue Raiders outgained the Miners 378 to 292 in total yardage in the win.

On the season, the Blue Raiders are 51st in the nation averaging 256.3 passing yards, and 114th picking up 106.9 rushing yards per game. Quarterback Chase Cunningham ranks 74th in the country with a 54.8 QBR and has thrown 13 touchdowns and five interceptions. Cunningham has three rushing touchdowns this season but is not much of an explosive running threat with 89 rushing yards.
On defense, the Blue Raiders are 61st allowing 138.5 rushing yards per game, and 113th allowing 271.1 passing yards.
