The No. 4 Michigan Wolverines (4-0) meet a fellow Big Ten opponent when they visit the Iowa Hawkeyes (2-1) on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Kinnick Stadium.

The Wolverines faced the Maryland Terrapins in their most recent outing, winning 34-27. The Hawkeyes’ last game was a 27-10 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. J.J. McCarthy had 220 yards on 18-of-26 passing (69.2%) for the Wolverines in that matchup against the Terrapins, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Blake Corum carried the ball 30 times for 243 yards (8.1 yards per carry) with two touchdowns on the ground. Luke Schoonmaker hauled in seven receptions for 72 yards (averaging 10.3 per catch), while scoring one touchdown against the Terrapins. Spencer Petras’ showing for the Hawkeyes against the Scarlet Knights included 11-of-17 passing for 148 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. Leshon Williams carried the ball 11 times for 64 yards (5.8 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. In the passing game, he added two catches for 19 yards. Sam LaPorta collected four catches for 77 yards (on seven targets).

The Wolverines are favored by double-digits (10.5 points) against the Hawkeyes. The total is set at 42.5 points.
