The Michigan State Spartans will head down to Iowa City to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in Big Ten play from the Carver-Hawkeye Arena on ESPN. Michigan State leads the all-time series, 75-56, after winning the latest meeting by two points last month.

Michigan State improved to 17-10 following a home-win over Indiana. The Spartans pulled away from the Hoosiers in the second half to down them by 15 points, 80-65. Michigan State is scoring 68.5 points per game, while allowing 65.3 ppg and shooting 44.4% from the floor.

Michigan State came through with a fitting, emotional victory last week, and it could’ve possibly served as the spark they needed to close the season strong. The Spartans are 9-7 in Big Ten play, with a 3-5 road record. Senior guard Tyson Walker went for a team-high 23 points in the win over IU, and he now leads Izzo’s squad at 14.1 ppg. Veteran forward Joey Hauser has scored 20 points or more in three of the last four games, and he’s up to an identical 13.8 ppg and a team-lead 7.1 rpg. Junior guard A.J. Hoggard matched his backcourt mate’s energy with 22 points versus the Hoosiers, and he leads MSU in assists (5.8), while scoring 12.2 ppg.
