The Hong Kong Jockey Club has appointed Michael Lee as its new Chairman for 2022/23, with Eric Li Ka Cheung appointed Deputy Chairman.
The decision comes from the new Board of Stewards, who elected Lee in the Annual General Meeting of The Hong Kong Jockey Club on 8 September. Lee succeeds Philip Chen, who stepped down from the Board of Stewards after serving 16 years as a Club Steward, the past two as Chairman.
Voting Members at the AGM also elected three new Stewards, with Jackson Woo Ka Biu, Ann Kung Yeung Yun Chi and Anita Fung Yuen Mei filling the vacancies left by Chen, Richard Tang Yat-sun and Rosanna Wong Yick-ming.
Biu has been elected for a three-year term, with Chi and Mei elected for two-year and one-year terms respectively.
