Miami (Ohio) will try to extend its three-game winning streak when it travels to Western Michigan on Tuesday night. The Redhawks wrapped up the home portion of their schedule with an 85-68 win over Ohio on Saturday. Western Michigan has lost 11 of its last 12 games, including an 85-78 setback in the first meeting between these teams.
Miami went through a cold stretch from the middle of January to the middle of February, losing nine out of 10 games. The Redhawks’ lone win during that stretch came against Western Michigan at home earlier this month, so they will be looking to complete the season sweep on Tuesday. They have been able to bounce back from their rough stretch with a three-game winning streak, beating Northern Illinois, Bowling Green and Ohio in their last three contests. Miami is going to be on the road for its final two games of the regular season, as it is traveling to Buffalo on Friday night.

The Redhawks have been a decent offensive team this season, ranked No. 105 in effective field goal percentage (52.0). They are ranked inside the top 50 nationally in 2-point percentage (53.9), but they are No. 243 from beyond the arc (32.8). Miami ranks inside the top 10 nationally in free-throw percentage (78.5), but it is outside the top 300 in turnover rate and offensive rebounding. The Redhawks are facing a Western Michigan defense that is No. 345 in field goal percentage and No. 355 in turnover rate. Senior guard Mekhi Lairy leads Miami with 17.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. Morgan Safford (15.5) and Anderson Mirambeaux (14.0) are both scoring in double digits as well.
