Miami – OH vs. Georgia Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-14-2022

The Georgia Bulldogs (1-1) will host the Miami Redhawks (1-1) on Monday night in a non-conference matchup between the SEC and MAC.

According to si.com, Georgia was rated No. 88 and Miami was No. 276 in the preseason rankings.

Miami opened the season with a 78-74 loss as a six-point home favorite against Evansville, followed by an 87-44 win over Goshen College, an NAIA school. The Redhawks went 14-18 last season and fired head coach Jack Owens. Replacing Owens as head coach is Travis Steele, who spent the last four seasons at Xavier without any losing seasons. Not much is expected from the Redhawks this season as they were tabbed to finish 11th out of 12 teams preseason poll and do not have any all-conference performers.

Mekhi Lairy, a 5'8 fifth-year senior guard, is the only starter back from last season. Lairy averaged 13.6 ppg starting 29 out of 32 games last season and averages 12 ppg through the first two contests of this season. Anderson Mirambeaux, a Cleveland State transfer, has played in both games and leads the team with 17 ppg, with 27 points coming in the opener against Evansville.
