The Miami Marlins continue their west coast swing as they travel to Colorado to take on the Rockies in a three-game series. The Rockies, meanwhile, are in last place in the NL West Division and well off the pace. The pitching matchup for Monday night will feature Miami righty Edward Cabrera (3-3, 5.13) taking on Rockies' righty Chase Anderson (0-0, 0.00). The first pitch is scheduled for 8:40 PM EST.

The Marlins come into this series playing their best baseball of the season, trailing only the Braves in the NL East Division. Heading into the series finale with the Giants on Sunday, the Marlins have won five of six games and improved to 10-11 on the road. On Sunday, the Marlins gave up two runs in the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie and fell to the Giants 7-5. The loss spoiled an outstanding day from Jorge Solar, who went 4-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBI in the loss.

The Marlins will give the ball to righty Edward Cabrera on Monday night. Cabrera is 3-3 in nine starts this season with just one quality start thus far. He's given up 34 hits in 40.1 innings of work with an ERA of 5.13. On the road thus far, Cabrera is 0-3 in five starts with a 6.64 ERA. He does have a K/9 rate of 12.0 on the road. Cabrera's hard-hit percentage has jumped from 33% in 2022 to 42% this season, which could explain his rise in ERA.

Key Injuries: Outfielders Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Jesus Sanchez are both out.
