Miami had to go right down to the final second but managed to take down the Suns at home for their third straight victory. The Heat improved to 7-7 on the season and entered Tuesday third in the Southeast Division, two games behind the Hawks for the top spot in the division race. Bam Adebayo hit a pair of free throws with 35 seconds to play to give Miami the lead and then withstood three shots by the Suns on their final possession to earn the win. Miami shot 45.8% from the field, including 15 of 33 from three-point range, and won the game at the line. The Heat hit 22 of 25 attempts at the charity stripe while the Suns were only two of four. Adebayo led the Heat with 30 points and 10 rebounds in the victory.

The Heat enters this one 19th in the league in scoring offense with 110.7 points per game this season.
