Miami will try to extend its two-game winning streak when it travels to Orlando on Saturday night. The Heat were able to make it back-to-back wins with their 97-95 victory over Houston on Friday, using a buzzer beater to pick up the win. Orlando has won three of its last four games, beating Denver by 11 points on Thursday.
Miami got off to a 12-15 start to the season, despite being one of the top Eastern Conference contenders coming into the campaign. The Heat have been able to turn things around since then, but they are still seeking consistency as the season starts to head into the home stretch. They had lost three games in a four-game stretch earlier this month before notching consecutive wins at home against Indiana and Houston. Miami was led by big man Bam Adebayo’s 38 points in the win over the Pacers, while Jimmy Butler scored on an alley-oop at the buzzer to win Friday’s game against Houston.

The Heat were tied with the Rockets with less than a second remaining following Jalen Green’s layup on the other end, but they drew up a perfect inbounds play that resulted in a game-winning slam from Butler. He had not had a great game up to that point, going 3 of 10 on his first 13 shots of the game. Tyler Herro led the Heat with 31 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, knocking down 5 of 10 attempts from 3-point range. Miami knocked down 12 3-pointers overall, but it shot just 31.6% from beyond the arc. The Heat have been the worst offensive team in the NBA this season, averaging 108.6 points per game. Victor Oladipo (ankle) and Kyle Lowry (knee) were both sidelined on Friday. Lowry will remain sidelined on Saturday, while Oladipo is questionable. They are facing an Orlando defense that is No. 17, allowing 114.0 points per contest.
