Miami Heat (7-9) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (8-8)

The Miami Heat wrap up a four-game road trip Monday, November 21, 2022, when they square off against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with the tip-off at 8:00 PM ET.

Miami meets Minnesota for the first time this season, and the hosts open as firm moneyline favorites. The Timberwolves are coming in full strength, while the Heat have serious injury worries and could miss some very important players.

Sunday night’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the injury-depleted Miami Heat visited the Cleveland Cavaliers on a two-game skid. Last Wednesday, Miami started its road trip with a 112-104 defeat at the Toronto Raptors. A couple of days later, the Heat suffered a heartbreaking 107-106 overtime loss at the Washington Wizards.

Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra had just seven players at his disposal last Friday. The Heat blew a 14-point second-half lead, finishing the game with just 35.7% shooting from the field and 25.6% from beyond the 3-point line (11-for-43). Kyle Lowry led Miami with a triple-double of 24 points, 15 assists, and ten rebounds, Max Strus had 22 points and five rebounds, while rookie Nikola Jovic posted 18 points, six boards, and a plus-6 net rating.

“It’s a shame,” Erik Spoelstra said. “I really wished I could have told something better to my locker room because I’m really proud of that effort tonight. We just had a couple of miscues. … Some very good things happened tonight.”

Jimmy Butler sat out the Wizards game due to a knee injury and will remain on the shelf for the rest of Miami’s road trip. Tyler Herro (ankle) has missed the last six games, while Bam Adebayo (knee) was listed as questionable to play Sunday after missing the previous two contests. Duncan Robinson (hand), Gabe Vincent (knee), Udonis Haslem (personal), and Dewayne Dedmon (foot) are all questionable for Monday’s clash against Minnesota.
