Two Eastern Conference teams matchup on Wednesday night when the Miami Heat (9-5, 6-8 ATS) travel to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers (7-6, 5-8 ATS). Cleveland is on the tail end of a back-to-back, as they played in Philadelphia on Tuesday. (Note: This article was published before the results on Tuesday's game). Miami is coming off a 118-100 win in Chicago over the Bulls, covering as 1.5-point favorites. Cleveland just defeated the Nuggets 121-109 as 4.5-point home dogs. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 EST from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.

The Miami Heat just played two consecutive games against the Chicago Bulls and split the decisions. The Heat were on a five game winning streak until they lost their first matchup with the Bulls. They got their revenge in the second game as they won by 18. Bam Adebayo controlled the second game, as the big man went for 23 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

 

Tyler Herro has been leading the team in scoring this season, but is out with an ankle injury. Bam Adebayo is the next top scorer, he averages a double-double with 22.8 PPG and 10.2 RPG. Adebayo has gone over 20 points and 10 rebounds in seven of his last eight games. Jimmy Butler is averaging 21.4 PPG and recently put up 36 on the Nets. Duncan Robinson has regained some of his playing time, the 6'7 shooter is averaging 15.1 PPG this season and is converting 3.2 three pointers per game. No other player on the Heat is averaging more than 10 points per game.

Rookie Jaime Jaquez is starting to play more lately, he averages 9.6 PPG, and Kevin Love still gets minutes and adds another 7.8 PPG. Miami ranks 20th in the NBA in offensive efficiency, and 8th in defensive efficiency according to dunksandthrees.com. Miami plays slow offensively, their tempo is ranked 25th based upon the average amount of possessions per game.
