The Miami Heat have struggled with consistency thus far this season. Some of it has to do with their own play and some has to do with the team's inability to stay healthy as they adjust to an altered roster this season. On Friday night, playing again without Bam Adebayo, Haywood Highsmith and Tyler Herro, the Heat fell 111-99 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Heat had an early 16-point lead and held a one-point halftime lead but couldn't overcome two separate 15-0 runs by the Cavs in the second half to take the loss. The Heat were outrebounded 51-37 in the game. as well. Josh Richardson and Kyle Lowry led the undermanned Heat with 17 points apiece.

“I thought there was some decent things defensively throughout the course of the game,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “But not even scoring 100 points — granted, they're a good defense — but that's not going to get it done. ”

Miami enters this divisional matchup looking to get cranked up as the season gets past the quarter poll. The Heat are 20th in the league in points per game this season thus far.
