Miami Heat at San Antonio Spurs – 12/17/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs duke it out in Mexico City Arena on Saturday night.

The Miami Heat have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won eight of their last 12 games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after sneaking past the Rockets in a 111-108 road win on Thursday. Tyler Herro drained 10 3-pointers to lead the way with 41 points on 13 of 20 shooting, Jimmy Butler added 20 points with 10 rebounds, seven assists and four steals while Caleb Martin chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Heat shot 44 percent from the field and 16 of 47 from the 3-point line as they dominated the second quarter by 37-23 to build a 14-point lead which was enough to hold off the Rockets in what ended up being a close finish.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs were riding a three-game win streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the Trail Blazers in a 128-112 loss on Wednesday. Keldon Johnson led the team with 25 points on 10 of 16 shooting, Doug McDermott added 14 points off the bench while Keita Bates-Diop chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line, but they left themselves too much ground to make up after allowing the Trail Blazers to explode for 73 points in the first half. In fact, the Spurs allowed the Trail Blazers to shoot a ridiculous 60 percent from the field and Devin Vassell had a night to forget as he shot just four of 16 for his 13 points.
