The Indiana Pacers play host to the Miami Heat at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday night.
The Miami Heat have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their past seven games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Kings in a 110-107 home win on Wednesday. Tyler Herro led the way with 26 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks, Kyle Lowry added 22 points with seven assists while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Heat shot 49 percent from the field and 11 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and held a narrow lead for most of the contest, before they poured in 33 points in the fourth quarter to escape with the narrow win.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their first eight games and they will be hoping to bounce back after having their two-game win streak halted by the Nets in a 116-109 road loss on Monday. Chris Duarte led the team with 30 points on 10 of 15 shooting, Buddy Hield added 22 points with seven assists while Benedict Mathurin chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Pacers shot 47 percent from the field and 11 of 39 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and had to claw their way back from a 24-point deficit, only to see the Nets close the final 6:27 on a 16-9 run to snatch the game from them.
