Miami Heat at Cleveland Cavaliers – 1/31/23 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Miami Heat pay a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.

The Miami Heat have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after having their three-game win streak snapped by the Hornets in a 122-117 road loss on Sunday. Jimmy Butler led the team with 28 points on 11 of 14 shooting, Tyler Herro added 24 points while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 17 points and six assists. As a team, the Heat shot 48 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line as they rode the hot hand of Butler to lead for most of the contest, before they couldn’t put the Hornets away and got burned in the third quarter to fall behind by 12 points and come up short in the end. Kyle Lowry scored just 11 points on three of 11 shooting while no bench player scored more than 10 points.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in decent shape as they’ve won nine of their last 16 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Clippers in a 122-99 home win on Sunday. Cedi Osman led the team in scoring with 29 points on 11 of 13 shooting off the bench, Darius Garland added 16 points with 10 rebounds while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 56 percent from the field and a sizzling 20 of 33 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Clippers from the start and never looked in danger after dominating the first half by 64-34. The Cavaliers were great on the defensive end as they held the Clippers to just 41 percent shooting from the field and just two of 19 from the 3-point line.
