Miami (FL) Hurricanes (2-0) vs. Texas A&M Aggies (1-1)

Week 3 of the 2022 college football season brings the highly anticipated clash between the No. 13 Miami Hurricanes and No. 24 Texas A&M Aggies at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas. These two interconference foes meet each other for the first time since 2008, and the Hurricanes have won two of their previous three contests against the Aggies.

Miami heads to Texas as a 5.5-point underdog. The Hurricanes are listed as +175 moneyline dogs, while the Aggies are -205 home favorites with a total of 48.0 points.

The Miami Hurricanes cruised through the first two weeks of the new season. After a 70-13 dismantling of the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats, the Hurricanes outlasted the Southern Miss Golden Eagles 30-7 as 27.5-point home favorites in Week 2. Although they failed to cover a huge spread, the Canes had no problems beating the Golden Eagles. They outgained Southern Miss 452-240 in total yards and forced three turnovers.

“Certainly, when you're 1-0 for the week, that's your goal,” Miami coach Mario Cristobal said. “But certainly, we want to play more polished, more precise, football. So, we've got to practice better, we've got to keep coaching better and we've got to keep working it better. We've got to go get better.”

Junior RB Henry Parrish Jr., who transferred from Ole Miss this spring, leads the way for Miami with 35 carries for 205 yards and four touchdowns. WR Xavier Restrepo has 11 catches for 172 yards and a TD in his junior year, while junior signal-caller Tyler Van Dyke has thrown for 446 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception through the first two weeks of the 2022 CFB season. Last year, Van Dyke tossed for 2,931 yards, 25 touchdowns, and six picks in ten appearances.

DE Akheem Mesidor missed the Southern Miss game due to an injury. He’ll be ready to go in Week 3, which is excellent news for Miami’s defense. Mesidor spent the previous two years at West Virginia, tallying 9.5 sacks in 21 games.
