Miami – FL vs. Notre Dame Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 12-30-2022

No. 14 Miami will try to extend its eight-game winning streak when it travels to Notre Dame on Friday afternoon. The Hurricanes are off to a perfect 3-0 start in ACC play this season, including a 66-64 win over then-No. 3 Virginia their last time out. No. 14 Miami has been one of the most impressive teams in college basketball so far this season, racing out to a 12-1 start through its first 13 games. The Hurricanes have won eight consecutive games coming into this matchup, including a trio of conference games. They opened ACC play with a blowout win over Louisville before adding a win against NC State three weeks ago. Their most impressive win of the campaign came last Tuesday against then-No. 6 Virginia, when Miami pulled off the 66-64 upset as a 3.5-point underdog. They were supposed to face Vermont on Wednesday, but that game was canceled due to weather-related issues.

Guard Isaiah Wong ranks sixth in the conference in scoring, averaging 17.2 points per game. He is also fourth in the ACC in steals (1.8) and seventh in assists (4.5). Forward Norchad Omier gives Miami an intimidating paint presence, as he ranks third in the ACC in rebounding (9.8) and is averaging 13.5 points per game on 61.1% shooting. The Hurricanes have been phenomenal offensively, ranked No. 13 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings. They are shooting 56.2% from 2-point range and are knocking down 33.8% of their triples. Notre Dame has been terrible defensively, ranked outside the top 200 in field goal percentage and turnover rate.
