The Miami Hurricanes are hoping to rebound after a hard-fought loss at Duke on Saturday. Miami has slowly climbed the ranks and reached the 17th spot in the Top-25 poll. The Hurricanes nearly rallied back on Saturday but fell just short in a 68-66 loss at Duke. It was the first loss in three seasons for the Hurricanes to the Blue Devils. Jordan Miller led the way with a game-high 19 points, scoring 13 points in the back and forth second half. Miller knocked down 3-of-4 from long range in the loss. Miami shot just 34% from the floor overall but did hit on 46% from long range.

“I thought the first half was pretty well played by both teams, and the result was a 38‐38 tie. I thought we got out of character in the second half. We were taking way too many difficult shots, no assists, everything off the bounce, and I think that led to really good defense by Duke’s team and some blocked shots.” said Miami head coach Jim Laranaga after the game.

Miami comes to Tallahassee with one of the more high-powered offenses in the country. The Hurricanes are 36th in the county in points per game. In addition, the team is 27th in the country in field goal percentage overall and ranked 133rd in 3pt shooting. Miami is ranked 43rd in turnovers per game. Defensively, the Hurricanes are ranked 171st in the country in points allowed per game. The team is ranked 145th in field goal percentage against and have the 118th ranked 3pt defense. Lastly, the 'Canes are 154th in the nation in total rebounding.
