Miami Dolphins (8-4) vs. Los Angeles Chargers (6-6)

Week 14 Sunday Night Football brings the AFC showdown from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, so we have prepared the best Dolphins vs. Chargers betting pick and odds. Miami and Los Angeles lock horns for the first time since November 2020 when the Dolphins beat the Chargers 29-21 as 1.5-point home favorites.

Miami is listed as a 3.5-point road fave this time around. The Dolphins sit at -173 moneyline odds, while the Chargers are +153 home underdogs with a total of 51.5 points.

The Miami Dolphins (8-4; 6-6 ATS) put an end to their five-game winning streak in Week 13. They lost 33-17 at the San Francisco 49ers, failing to cover a 5-point spread at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Tua Tagovailoa had a bad day in the office, throwing a ton of inaccurate passes, and the Dolphins ran just eight times for a paltry 33 yards. Also, the Dolphins lost the turnover battle 4-1 and kept the ball in possession for only 19:26.

Tagovailoa went 18-of-33 for 295 yards and a couple of touchdowns and interceptions. Tyreek Hill had nine receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown, while Jaylen Waddle caught one of his five targets for nine yards. Waddle suffered a fibula injury that limited the second-year wideout to 24 snaps, and he’s questionable to play against the Chargers.

“Guys were a little off, just in general collectively,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said. “But I know one thing: It wasn’t because of preparation, lack of detail. It was one of those things that you have to go through.”

After hitting a 30-point mark in four straight outings, the Phins’ offense finally slowed down in Week 13. Now, Miami is scoring 24.9 points per game (8th in the NFL) on 290.5 passing yards (2nd) and 89.7 rushing yards (28th). The Dolphins surrender 24.1 points in a return (25th) on 233.5 passing yards (21st) and 110.5 rushing yards (9th).

Jaylen Waddle was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice . The Dolphins listed 13 players on the injury report including left tackle Terron Armstead (toe, pectoral), who’s in danger of missing his second straight game. Tagovailoa was limited due to an ankle injury, but he’ll be ready to go Sunday against Los Angeles.
