Memphis will try to bounce back from a crushing loss at UCF when it travels to Temple on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers have now lost two of their last three games following their double-overtime loss to the Knights on Wednesday. Temple has won four of its last five games and is coming off a 76-72 win against Tulsa on Tuesday.

Memphis has struggled away from home this season, with all five of its losses coming on the road. The Tigers fell to Saint Louis and Seton Hall early in non-conference play before rattling off a six-game winning streak that included wins over Ole Miss and then-No. 11 Auburn. Their third loss of the campaign came against then-No. 4 Alabama on Dec. 13, but they responded with a three-game winning streak. They opened conference play with a win against South Florida before losing to Tulane on New Year’s Day. Memphis bounced back with a win against East Carolina last Saturday, but it is coming off a double-overtime loss at UCF on Wednesday.

Kendric Davis poured in 42 points for Memphis, setting a career-high and marking the fifth-most points scored in a game in program history. Davis leads Memphis with 21.3 points, 5.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game. Senior forward DeAndre Williams has been excellent as well, averaging 15.4 points and 7.1 rebounds. The Tigers have been solid offensively, ranked No. 41 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings. They are not shooting well from the perimeter, knocking down just 31.8% of their attempts. Memphis is the ninth-most experienced team in the country, while Temple is No. 206. The Owls have been a decent defensive team, ranked No. 85 in field goal percentage.
