It’s been an outstanding season for a Grizzlies squad that won the division and is likely going to finish in the number two spot in the conference. Memphis beat the Trail Blazers by a 119-109 score on Tuesday and were six-point dogs in a 138-131 overtime road loss against the Pelicans on Wednesday night. The Grizzlies have covered the spread in only one of their last five games.
Ja Morant did not play in Wednesday’s bout due to a hip injury and is questionable for this one. The 23-year-old point guard has scored 23 or fewer points in three straight games and is sporting an average of 26.5 PPG and 5.9 RPG. Desmond Bane continues to dazzle, sinking at least 20 points in eight consecutive bouts. The 24-year-old shooting guard has increased his season ave rage to 21.6 PPG and 4.3 APG. He did not play in the first meeting against the Bucks. Jaren Jackson Jr. has shot at least 50% in two of his last three clashes and scored 40 points on Wednesday. The 23-year-old power forward has recorded an average of 18.3 PPG and 6.8 RPG.

The Grizzlies are 2-3 in their last five road games including a victory against the Hawks. Memphis is scoring an average of 116.9 points on the season, ranking them ninth. They have squandered at least 128 points in two of their last three clashes and are limiting opponents to only 112.9 points, placing them 14th in the NBA.
