Memphis will open a four-game road trip when it travels to Houston on Wednesday night. The Grizzlies are coming off consecutive home wins over the Nuggets and Lakers, winning both of those games by double digits. Houston went winless in 10 consecutive games to close the month of February, including a 133-112 loss to Denver on Tuesday.
Memphis went through a pair of red-hot stretches earlier this season, winning seven consecutive games in December and 11 straight games in January. The Grizzlies were sitting 18 games above the .500 mark at that point, but they proceeded to lose eight of their next nine games. They have bounced back since then, winning five of their last seven contests. Memphis lost to Philadelphia in its first game back from the All-Star break before beating the Nuggets and Lakers by double digits. The Grizzlies are opening a four-game road trip that wraps up in Los Angeles early next week.

They are playing a pair of primetime games against the Nuggets and Clippers on ESPN this weekend before facing the Lakers and Warriors on TNT in their next two games. Memphis is in second place in the Western Conference standings, sitting 5.5 games back of Denver and two games ahead of Sacramento, so this is an important stretch for them. The Grizzlies are six games ahead of Dallas in the Southwest Division standings. They have been an excellent offensive team this season, ranked ninth in the NBA in scoring (115.9). This is an ideal matchup, as Houston is No. 27 defensively (118.3). Star guard Ja Morant leads Memphis with 27.0 points, 8.1 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game. Shooting guard Desmond Bane is adding 21.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
