Memphis Grizzlies (19-10) vs. Denver Nuggets (18-11)

The 2022-23 NBA betting action goes on Tuesday night with a highly-anticipated Western Conference showdown from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, so here’s the best Grizzlies vs. Nuggets betting pick along with the latest odds update.

Memphis and Denver start their three-game regular-season series, and the Grizzlies open as 1-point road favorites with a total of 233.5 points. The visitors are without Desmond Bane (toe) and Danny Green (knee), while the Nuggets miss Michael Porter Jr. (heel).

The Memphis Grizzlies (19-10; 14-13-2 ATS) stopped their seven-game winning streak this past Saturday. Two days after trouncing the Milwaukee Bucks 142-101 at home, they suffered a surprising 115-109 defeat at the Oklahoma City Thunder, playing as huge 11-point road favorites. Memphis trailed OKC for most of the game and by as many as 24 points, while Ja Morant was ejected just before halftime.

Curiously, Morant-less Grizzlies scored 66 second-half points but couldn’t mount a comeback. They shot just 37.8% from the field and 26.7% from beyond the arc (12-for-45) while posting a 15/10 assist-to-turnover ratio. Dillon Brooks accounted for 32 points and four rebounds, and Jaren Jackson Jr. added 16 points and eight boards in just 28 minutes on the floor.

“I got my fir st tech for saying I got hit in my face. Didn’t curse at him,” Morant said. “Another situation where he’s in my conversation and I get another tech for talking with a fan. I feel like when these fans came here, went online to buy these tickets, they didn’t say Ray (Acosta) name to come to watch.”

The Grizzlies hold the eighth-best offensive rating in the NBA even though they are the worst free-throw shooting team (70.9%), tallying 114.6 points per 100 possessions. Memphis makes 46.8% of its field goals (16th in the league) and 35.6% of its 3-pointers (tied-15th). The Grizzlies allow 109.9 points per 100 possessions (5th) on 44.7% shooting from the field (1st) and 35.7% from beyond the 3-point line (tied-16th).
