The Memphis Grizzlies and the Washington Wizards collide at the Capital One Arena on Sunday night.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been in red-hot form as they’ve won five of their past six games and they will be gunning for a third straight victory after taking down the Timberwolves in a 114-103 win on Friday. Ja Morant led the way with 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, Desmond Bane added 24 points with five assists while Dillon Brooks chipped in with 21 points on nine of 17 shooting. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 50 percent from the field and seven of 33 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates and never looked in trouble after exploding for 72 points in the first half to build a 15-point lead.
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their past six games overall and they will be looking to build on their current three-game win streak after stopping the Jazz in a 121-112 home win last night. Kristaps Porzingis led the way with 31 points and 10 rebounds, Kyle Kuzma added 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists while Corey Kispert chipped in with 18 points on six of six shooting. As a team, the Wizards shot 50 percent from the field and 16 of 36 from the 3-point line as they clicked into gear and poured in 33 points in the second quarter to overcome a slow start, before pulling away in the second half where they led by as many as 15 points.
