The Memphis Tigers will head up to Philadelphia to face the Temple Owls in AAC play from the Liacouras Center on ESPN2.

Memphis dropped to 12-5 after losing to UCF in Orlando. The Tigers and the Knights would need a pair of overtimes to decide a winner, and Central Florida would prevail by three points.. Memphis is scoring 72.4 points per game, while allowing 66.8 ppg, and shooting 45.8% from the field.

Memphis’ 2-2 start in conference play could be improved, and after wining six of their eat eight games. Kendric Davis has brought his bucket scoring ways to the Grind City. The former longtime SMU guard went off for a game-high 26 points in the win over VCU, and followed it up with two more 20-point showing against Seton Hall and Nebraska. Davis leads Memphis in scoring (19.3) and assists (5.3). Deandre Williams remains a big part of Penny Hardaway’s system, and the veteran forward is off to another strong start. Williams double-doubled against Saint Louis, and he’s averaging 13.3 ppg and a team-lead 6.7 rpg.
