The Memphis Tigers will play the Navy Midshipmen in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Memphis Tigers are 0-1 this season after losing Mississippi State by a score of 49-23 last week. Memphis fell behind in the first half of this game and was never able to recover, but they did play better in the second half. Seth Henigan threw for 165 yards and one touchdown, while adding 17 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown for Memphis. Jevyon Ducker rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown, while Asa Martin caught five passes for 58 yards for the Tigers. The Memphis defense was torched for 49 points and 547 yards, but did force a turnover.
The Navy Midshipmen are 0-1 this season after losing to Delaware by a score of 14-7. Navy looked really bad in their Week 1 loss, where they turned the ball over three times and went 0-3 on fourth down conversions. Tai Lavatai threw for 135 yards and added 34 yards and one touchdown on the ground for Navy. Daba Fofana rushed for 47 yards, while Maquel Haywood caught two passes for 77 yards for the Midshipmen. The Navy defense played well, holding Delaware to 202 total yards and recovering one fumble.
