Mavericks vs. Timberwolves Parlay: SGP Odds, Predictions for Game 2iv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

The Dallas Mavericks upset the Minnesota Timberwolves to kick off the Western Conference Finals, and we're diving into our Mavericks vs. Timberwolves parlay predictions based on the best NBA odds for Game 2 on Friday.

Thanks to some late-game heroics from Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks were able to steal Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Up 1-0, Dallas is back at Target Center in Minneapolis on Friday with the game tipping at 8:30 p.m. ET (TNT).

The Timberwolves are a 5.5-point home favorite despite the loss, but they'll need to slow Doncic, whom we highlighted in our Luka Doncic player props and odds. While the Mavericks surpassed Minnesota by the NBA championship odds, the T-Wolves still boast an NBA Finals MVP odds contender in Anthony Edwards capable of getting them back on track.

Along with our Maverick s vs. Timberwolves player props, here are our best Mavericks vs. Timberwolves parlay predictions for Game 2 (odds via our best NBA betting sites; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

SGP predictions for Mavericks vs. Timberwolves

It appears that Doncic has adapted his game to work around the knee sprain that hindered him early in the playoffs. While he's still not as precise from long range, the veteran is like an aging golfer who may not be able to hammer the long bomb like before, but Doncic dominates the closer he gets to the hole.

The five-time All-Star went 9-for-16 from 2-point range in Game 1 while adding six free throws. He also showcased his passing ability with his lob game, finishing with eight assists. I'm expecting more opportunities for apples in Game 2 if the T-Wolves are going to focus on stopping his scoring.

Doncic is averaging 9.4 rebounds and nine assists in the playoffs with 10 double-doubles in 13 games. That's why these odds imply a 60.78% probability he'll finish with one in Game 2, according to our odds converter.

I'm going with a prop I really like for the second leg of the SGP, but I wouldn't make this bet on its own because the odds are so short. The -165 odds imply a 62.26% probability that Edwards hits at least three 3-pointers in Game 2. Despite his scoring struggles in Game 1, Ant-Man was still able to take advantage of the Mavericks' perimeter defense.&nbsp ;

He wasn't able to use his superhero-like explosiveness to get to the rim, so instead Edwards found work from behind the arc and hit five 3-pointers. The Mavericks allow shooting guards to average 3.42 threes per game. Not known for his sharpshooting, Edwards has been enjoying a strong postseason from deep, shooting 40% and averaging 3.2 makes per game.

As Dallas likely tries to keep him from getting downhill, I expect Edwards to continue to adjust and make his most significant contribution on the outside.

Donic and Edwards are the clear faces of the NBA in this matchup, and Kyrie Irving, Rudy Gobert, and Karl-Anthony Towns are probably going to be in the Hall of Fame one day (Naismith voters need to be more strict about who gets in). But Jaden McDaniels could be the key to the Timberwolves winning the series.

Not only did he drop 24 in Game 1, but McDaniels is arguably Minnesota's b est defender. And yes, he's better than Gobert. The 6-foot-9 wing is averaging 2.1 steals and blocks in the postseason, and he's posted at least two in eight of 12 contests. McDaniels is also averaging 2.6 blocks across his last seven outings.

While this prop isn't worth betting on its own at -165, it brings the SGP to +325. Those odds imply a 23.53% probability each leg hits, with a $10 wager paying $32.50.

Mavericks-Timberwolves SGP picks made Friday at 10:25 a.m. ET.
