The Minnesota Golden Gophers will host the Maryland Terrapins in Big Ten action from Maryland and Minnesota have faced off 15 times, with the Terps winning 13 of those meetings, including seven in a row. 

Maryland improved to 15-7 after beating Wisconsin at home. The Terrapins pulled away from the Badgers after break, and brought home an 18-point win. Maryland is scoring 70.7 points per game, while allowing 63.3 ppg, and shooting 44.5% from the floor.

Maryland dominated the Big Ten reds to close the month of January, and they enter the final stretch of the regular season with the right momentum. Defeating Indiana should bode huge come Selection Sunday, as the Hoosiers were streaking themselves. The Terps are 6-5 in Big Ten play, with a 1-5 record on the road. Former Charlotte guard Jahmir Young has caught fire, and after scoring 20 or more in five of the last seven games, he leads UMD in scoring (16.1) and assists (3.2), while grabbing 5.1 rpg. Four-year starter Donta Scott double-doubled in the win over Wisconsin, and scored 19 points against IU to bring his averages to 12.2 ppg and 6.2 rpg.
