Maryland at Iowa – 1/15/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Maryland Terrapins will travel and take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in Big Ten play from the Carter-Hawkeye Arena on the Big Ten Network. Iowa leads the all-time series, 7-6, after winning the last three meetings.

Maryland moved to 11-5 after beating Ohio State at home. The Terps trailed at the break, but a strong second half rally would push them past the Bucks for a 12-point win. Maryland is scoring 71.8 points per game, while allowing 63.9 ppg, and shooting 44.9% from the floor.

Maryland has dropped their first three road conference games, so it’ll be interesting to see how they perform Sunday evening. The Terps have a solid lineup, led by point guard Jahmir Young. The Charlotte transfer went for a season-high 30 points in win over OSU, to bring his team-lead to 14.9 ppg. Four-year starter Donta Scott has cooled off after a hot start, and he’s second on the team in scoring (12.2) and rebounding (5.8).
