Marist vs Manhattan Prediction – Basketball Picks 3/7/23

The Marist Red Foxes and Manhattan Jaspers face off on Tuesday in a college basketball showdown in the MAAC Tournament at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. When these two teams faced off on February 24th it was Marist that secured the 81-58 victory. 

Marist comes into this game with a 10-19 record overall and they have gone 13-15-1 against the spread. In the last game against Quinnipiac, the defense gave up 88 points and that led to the 12 point defeat. Patrick Gardner had a strong game finishing with 27 points and nine rebounds. Marist is averaging 63.8 points while their defense is giving up 67.6 points per game. The last time they faced off  against Manattan the defense was good, and the defense is going to need to be strong again here. Patrick Gardner is averaging 18.8 points while shooting 50.2 percent from the field. 

On the other side of this matchup is Manhattan who sits with a 12-17 record overall but they have gone 18-10 against the spread. In the last game against Mt. St Mary’s, Manhattan only scored 69 points and they ended up losing by five points. Anthony Nelson had a strong game finishing with 17 points, seven assists, and two rebounds. Manhattan is averaging 67.8 points while their defense is giving up 70.7 points per game. Ant Nelson has been the top player for Manhattan averaging 15.1 points but he is only shooting 39.8 percent from the field.
