The Marist Red Wolves will make the cross-state trip to face the Canisius Golden Griffins in Metro League play. Canisius holds the all-time series lead, 35-21.
Marist moved to 5-9 after beating Mount St. Mary’s at home. The Red Wolves stormed back from a halftime deficit, to outscore the Mountaineers by twelve points and pick up the 63-56 victory. Marist is scoring 62.4 points per game, while allowing 67.1 ppg and shooting 39.5% from the floor.
Marist was able to snap a five-game skid with the win over MSM, but it’s been a tough season thus far. The Red Foxes are ranked towards the bottom of every major offensive category, as there’s no sign of that changing anytime soon. Patrick Gardner does most of the damage for Marist, and after a 23-point performance against the Mount, he’s posting team-leads of 17.4 ppg, and 7.1 rpg.
