Maple Leafs vs. Bruins Predictions, Picks & Odds: Rivalry Renewed in Bostoniv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

The Boston Bruins have already locked up the Presidents' Trophy, but there's always something to play for in a Toronto-versus-Boston matchup. Read on for our best Maple Leafs vs. Bruins prediction based on the best NHL odds.

The Maple Leafs and Bruins are set to face off for the fourth and final time this season on Thursday night. Toronto won the first matchup 2-1 at home back in November with Boston taking the past two, 4-3 in January and 5-2 on Feb. 1.

Now, however, Toronto is still battling for home-ice advantage in the first round while the Bruins are coasting into the playoffs. Boston is still going for the all-time wins record, but the Bs have been playing it cautious with some of their injured players.

Here is our best Maple Leafs vs. Bruins prediction (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-sta r scale).

Maple Leafs vs. Bruins prediction

Toronto is getting healthy just in time for the playoffs as center Ryan O'Reilly is set to rejoin the team in Boston. That'll give the Leafs a much-needed extra punch down the middle up front.

On the other side, winger Taylor Hall practiced on Wednesday but he is not yet ready to return. The Bruins will also be without David Krejci and will start backup Jeremy Swayman in net. Granted, Swayman has been better than some teams' starters this season, going 21-6-4 with a 2.24 GAA and .919 SV%.

Still, the Maple Leafs have the narrative of “more to play for” and while that's already baked into the line, it helps that they're showing it by getting O'Reilly back and likely starting goalie Ilya Samsonov, who will need to lock in before the playoffs.

Furthermore, this line opened with the Leafs at +125 and has moved up to +130 or slightly higher at most books. The absence of Hall and Krejci combined with Swayman starting over Linus Ullmark may cause the line to drop back down a bit before puck drop.

The line is fairly consistent across the board with less than 10 cents separating the best price at BetRivers from the worst price at BetMGM. Boston has received 74% of the wagers as of noon, though, so that's something to keep in mind.
