LSU vs. Ole Miss Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-25-2023

LSU (13-15 SU, 2-13 SEC) travels to Oxford to take on Ole Miss (10-18 SU, 2-13 SEC) at 8:30pmET from The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss.

This is the first meeting for these teams this season. Last year, these teams met just once with Ole Miss winning on the road 76-72 as a 12-point dog.

The Rebels will play their first game under interim head coach Win Case after they fired Kermit Davis, who is 22-47 in the SEC over the past four seasons.

Williams came up big with 35 points and 10 rebounds to give the Tigers their first win since Jan. 28 when they upset then-No. 9 Arkansas. Williams made 13-of-25 shots including 5of-10 beyond the arc. LSU shot 45% from the field and 9-of-21 (43%) from long range. They also outrebounded the Commodores by seven and held them to 44% shooting.

Williams (6-10, 250) is a Murray State transfer who leads the team with 16.7 points per game. Overall, LSU is shooting just 41.4% from the field to rank 13th in the SEC and allowing teams to shoot 47.9%. They are shooting 33.3% from three-point range to rank 6th in the SEC. KenPom has them at 163rd in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency and 146th in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency.
