LSU vs. Kentucky Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 1-3-2023

The LSU Tigers (12-1, 6-7 ATS, 4-8 O/U) collide with the Kentucky Wildcats (9-4, 4-8-1 ATS, 7-6 O/U) in an SEC bout on Tuesday night. The Tigers earned a road win against Arkansas in their previous action. The Wildcats pummeled Louisville on Saturday afternoon. Each team recorded a home win in last year's two meetings

The LSU Tigers are seeking an eighth consecutive victory. They lost to Kansas State in November and have not dropped a game since propelled by the stellar defense. It’s been an easy schedule, playing only three games against a power conference foe including a win against Wake Forest. LSU was a four-point dog in a solid 60-57 home win against Arkansas on Wednesday to begin SEC play. The Tigers have covered in one out of their last three clashes.

KJ Williams has come through with several outstanding performances including 33 points against Illinois State. The senior forward has reached 20 points three times this season and has recorded an average of 18.5 PPG and 8 RPG. Adam Miller has cooled down, scoring nine or fewer points in four out of his last five clashes. The sophomore guard is averaging 13 PPG on 37% shooting. Cam Hayes has only scored six points in his last two games. The junior guard is third in team scoring with 8.4 PPG on 52% shooting.

The Tigers are ranked 74th in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and were projected to finish in 8th place in the SEC preseason poll. LSU has yet to play a true road game all season. They are scoring an average of 72 points, landing them 183rd. The defense has been their top strength, conceding an average of 63.4 points, positioning them 56th in DI.
