The LSU Tigers are on the road as they make the trip to take on the Florida Gators Saturday evening. LSU was knocked off 81-76 at home by Missouri in their previous contest Wednesday night, failing to cover the line as a four-point underdog. Florida defeated Georgia 77-67 on the road in their previous game Tuesday night, covering the line as a two-point favorite. In the all-time series between the teams, the Tigers own a 64-50 advantage but the Gators claimed a 67-56 victory on the road in the first matchup this season back on January 10.

LSU started the season strong as they were 12-1 after opening conference play with a win over Arkansas December 28. Nothing has gone right for the Tigers since as they have dropped 16 of their last 17 games. The team is 13-17 overall and stand in the basement of the conference with a 2-15 record on the year. Against Missouri, LSU led 8-0 out of the gate and were up as many as 19 points in the first half. The Tigers saw their lead trimmed to 13 at halftime only to see Missouri climb back into the game. LSU held a six-point lead with 5:39 remaining only to get outscored 15-4 the rest of the way to wind up with the loss. The Tigers shot 42.9% from the field, including 14 of 28 from beyond the arc, but turned the ball over 16 times in the defeat. KJ Williams led LSU with 24 points and 14 rebounds in the loss.

The Tigers are putting up 67.5 points per game on the season, putting them 289th in the nation in scoring offense. LSU collects 34.4 rebounds per game and dishes out an average of 12.4 assists per contest. The Tigers are average defensively as they come in 191st in scoring defense by allowing 70.4 points per night.
