LSU at Kentucky – 1/3/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The LSU Tigers will head up to Lexington and face the Kentucky Wildcats in SEC play this Tuesday from the Rupp Arena on ESPN. Kentucky holds an overwhelming 85-28 series lead, but the big cats did split the matchups last season.

LSU improved to 12-1 after beating Arkansas in Baton Rouge. The Tigers held onto a narrow halftime lead, and picked up a hard-fought victory over Arkansas by three points. LSU is scoring 72.4 points per game, while allowing 63.4 ppg, and shooting 45.8% from the field.

LSU breezed through a light non-conference slate, but their victory over Arkansas marked their best win of the season. This spot in the Bluegrass will be their toughest bout yet and just the second time they play on the road this season. Murray State transfer KJ Wiliams has found a home in Baton Rouge, and he’s really been a menace. The 6 '10 forward went for a career-high 35 points in the road win over Wake Forest, and he leads LSU in scoring (18.5) and rebounding (8.2). Former Illinois guard Adam Miller dropped 26 points in the win over Wofford, and he’s second on the team at 13.1 ppg.
