The Loyola Chicago Ramblers are on the road as they make the short trek to take on the Saint Louis Billikens Saturday evening. Loyola Chicago was upended 71-69 at home by Fordham in their previous contest Wednesday night, failing to cover as a one-point underdog. Saint Louis fell 81-78 on the road at Richmond Tuesday night, losing outright as a one-point favorite, in their previous game. In the all-time series between the teams, the Billikens own a 15-13 advantage and have won the last five meetings. That includes a 76-59 road win in the first meeting this season on January 18.

Loyola Chicago fell a bucket short at home against Fordham Tuesday night as their adjustment to the Atlantic 10 continues to be a challenge. The Ramblers fell to 9-18 overall and sit in the basement of the conference with a 3-12 record on the year. Against Fordham, Loyola Chicago led by as many as five in the opening half and held a one-point edge at intermission. The Ramblers trailed by as many as five in the second half and saw the game tied at 64 with 1:05 to play before giving up a 7-2 run that left them down five with seven seconds to play. Loyola Chicago cut the margin to two with four seconds left but failed to get another shot off, sending them to defeat. The Ramblers shot 43.4% from the field, including four of 17 from three-point range, and bricked 10 of their 29 free throw attempts in the game. Philip Alston led the way with 19 points in the loss.

The Ramblers stand 303rd in th e nation in scoring offense as they put up an average of 66.9 points per game on the season. Loyola Chicago collects 31.1 boards per night and rank 157th in assists by dishing out 13.5 dimes a night.
